Fostering A Generation believes that real change starts with real stories — and there’s no greater source of insight, strength, and inspiration than those who have experienced the foster care system firsthand.
We invite individuals with lived experience to serve as Ambassadors, using their voice and
perspective to help strengthen our community and improve outcomes for children and youth connected to foster care.
Who Can Be an Ambassador?
You are eligible to become an ambassador if you: Have been helped through Fostering a
Generation programs or services or have personal experience with foster care — including:
• Aging out of foster care
• Being adopted from foster care
• Being reunified with your family after time in care
What Does an Ambassador Do?
• Ambassadors help create awareness, share valuable information, and provide hope by
supporting Fostering a Generation’s programs and outreach efforts
• Speaking at schools, community events, and workshops
• Sharing your foster care journey in a way that educates and inspires
• Helping others understand the needs and realities of foster youth
• Being a positive example of resilience and possibility
